Biography
Set aside the buried
light of candle, torch, and rotting wood, and listen to the turn
of night caught in your rising blood. How quiet is the midnight,
love, how warm the winds where ravens fly, where all the changing
moonlight, love, pales in your fading eye. How loud your heart
is calling, love, how close the darkness at your breast , how
hectic are the rivers, love, drawn through your dying wrist. And
love, what heat your frail skin hides, as pure as salt, as sweet
as death, and in the dark the red moon rides the foxfire of your
breath.
Personal Interests
I have many intersts.
They include writing, sketching, and poetry. Over the years it
seems they have all become related to fantasy. I absolutely love
DragonLance, and its many endearing characters. Though by no means
"heavy reading", it allows me to escape into a world
where the people seem familiar, the ale tastes good, and of course
there is always the plate of spiced potatoes! If you haven't read
any of the novels, I encourage you to do so. Margaret and Tracy
have created something very very special. If you have read the
many many tales, drop me an email and let me know your thoughts
on them. I saw a question asked somewhere once, regarding some
of the differences in the stories between the works of the different
authors, as sometimes the tale being told seems a bit embellished
or maybe under-played. The response, I believe from Margaret,
was that with any stories being told, the bards of each region
and generation add their particular influences, thus the story
changes. What a wonderful explanation!
I earn a living working
as an internet engineer for a national internet service provider.
I am the senior project technician. It's challenging work keeping
up with the many changes happening in the computer industry. The
work is sometimes very stressful, and so in my spare time, I do
some web design, play Baldur's Gate, or Brood War, or often times
pick up a good book to read. The books that interest me, like
everyone else, often reflect my mood. I do enjoy horror, specifically
Clive Barker, and occasionally Stephen King (if I don't want to
think too hard!). My list of favorites includes "Good Omens"
by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaman, Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo,
The Hitchhikers series, and all of J.R.R. Tolkien's works.
I suppose I should reveal
a bit about my musical tastes, as I seem to be at odds with most
of the people I know. I am willing to state, categorically, that
Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) has the best voice I have ever had the
pleasure listening to. My favorite songs by Aerosmith are "I
don't wanna miss a thing" "crazy" "falling
in love is so hard on the knees" "hole in my soul"
and "dream on". I know, I know, you probably don't agree,
but well, I guess that makes me.... eccentric? <g> I also
like Ozzy Osbourne (and Black Sabbath), MegaDeath, some Metallica,
Scorpions, Def Leppard, Guns & Roses, Elton John, Bob Seger,
and traditional classical like Beethoven, Bach and Mozart.
I am 42 years old, divorced
for some time. I live in a very large 3 bedroom apartment with
my younger brother. I am 6 feet 3 inches tall, 170 lbs, with shoulder-length
brown (and highlighted) hair, and brown eyes. I don't currently
have a girlfriend or significant other, I guess it's mostly because
I haven't had all that much time to look, and wouldn't know where
anyway! Perhaps someday, I will find a special woman and devote
my creativity to her. Who knows?
I hope you have enjoyed
your travels through my site, go safely for the roads are dangerous
and thieves abound. Thank you for sharing a small slice of your
time with me!
